Bears and the Rule of Four

Verging on Pertinence, while in The Great White North, encounters observations on Our Friend The Bear and a Canadian rule that there be at least four hikers in a group.

It relates to the food chain.

    Quite true. No matter how peaceful the landscape, there are always bears. Some wear suits.
