As I write this, a bunch of television commercials are playing in the background, punctuated by a football game.
They just ran an ad for an upcoming movie: Poseidon.
That's as in The Poseidon Adventure, the old flick with Gene Hackman and Shelley Winters.
Well, at least they altered the title.
The movie may wind up being marvelous but it's another indication of a creativity crisis. Hollywood seems to find remakes to be better bets than original stories.
Perhaps they assume that aging Baby Boomers won't remember the original.
