Sexist Advertising

Bravo to CBSNews.com's Dick Meyer for this article on how marketing agencies portray young men as louts.

Men in general are portrayed as dumb slobs in TV commercials. In the fifties, women could rightly object to commercials in which the man explained things to the woman. Now, Madison Avenue has gone to the opposite extreme and the male image is a variation of Homer Simpson.
