A University of Iowa law professor is under fire for using a reading that contained a racial slur.
His critics said he should have warned the class that the reading contained the term.
I think the student critics are engaging in street theater. If you cannot hear a racial slur in the context of an academic discussion in which the term is clearly not used with the purpose of demeaning anyone, you don't belong in law school.
