Touches of Style



    • Giving your time to someone who cannot help you


    • Sending thank you notes


    • Not forwarding emails with humor of questionable taste


    • Avoiding profanity


    • Giving an offender the benefit of the doubt


    • Bringing unexpected gifts


    • Remembering a person's special events and accomplishments


    • Listening carefully when the other person responds to "How are you doing?"


    • Not rushing to demonize people who don't share your religious, philosophical or political views


    • Apologizing when you've hurt someone


    • Giving credit to others


    • Doing the little act of kindness that did not have to be done

    • Anticipating and fulfilling a need before it is felt or expressed
