As I read the polls - and they've been all over the place - by the end of the day we could be looking at a Barack Obama landslide, a comfortable Obama win or a history-making upset victory by John McCain.
Whether the winner is named Barack or John, he will have earned some respect and a honeymoon period.
It will be sooo nice to have this election behind us.
I voted this morning. Waited one half hour. When I had voted, I felt better. In my mind it was over.
ReplyDeleteI ran for public office once and felt the same way even though I knew that I wouldn't know the results until later that evening (fortunately for me the results were good).
It is a good feeling to have the task completed and I too am glad to have this over.
It will be very pleasant to get it out of the way.
ReplyDeleteI voted early by mail and found the experience to be much less satisfying than going to the polls.
