Multiple Bosses

A person once told me that I was very fortunate to be a part-owner of a business because I didn't have a boss.

But he overlooked my four bosses: Customer Service, Supply, Demand, and Cash Flow.

    I spent the morning yesterday with the owner of the business I represent. We're struggling as others are in our industry. And for the first time, he's facing some very difficult decisions as to staffing and salaries.

    I could only thing of the Shakespeare quote - "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown".

    Being an owner (the "boss") means you are now responsible to all including your employees. It does not necessarily make for easy nights...and especially during these times...

    That's true. That part of being a boss is often missed by the critics.
