Holocaust Films

Armchair Commentary lists ten films about the Holocaust.

I've never been that fond of "Life is Beautiful."

One film I'd add is the documentary "Shoah." It is very powerful. Film-making at its best.

    Two others I'd add -

    "The Last Days" (which was funded by Speilberg's Shoah Foundation)

    "Into the Arms of Strangers" - about the Kindertransport (underground railroad)of Jewish children to England

    And, if I can add a book,

    "Awake in the Dark" by Shira Nayman, collection of short stories connecting modern day with stories from the holocaust.

    A low point in human history certainly...
