Eliot was obsessed with death by drowning. Check out the last lines of Prufrock: "We have lingered in the chambers of the sea By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown Till human voices wake us, and we drown."
You are probably one of the few, the proud, the reader of my poetry. You won't find mermaids and drowning. You might find a few old girlfriends, and some children. :-)
In the room the women come and go, talking of Michangelo;
