Finding Time
The best daily organizers and time management techniques in the world won't work until we control our biggest distraction: The person we stare at every morning in the mirror.
Let's face it. Many of us have attention spans only slightly better than that of a hummingbird. To make matters worse, we are surrounded by distractions: meetings, music, computers, emails, phones, and, of course, the Internet.
What is a common characteristic of each? Unless we embrace self-control, they can be used to justify short, brief, won't-be-a-minute, interruptions that can kill our days.
Here's a prediction: Make a serious effort to reduce the distractions that you personally produce and you'll be surprised at how much time is uncovered.
