Not having the time to do something well but finding time to do it over. Expecting a tiger to change its stripes. Taking a sizable amount of time and effort to select a new computer but then hiring a person based upon a 30 minute interview. Discriminating to eliminate discrimination. Being awed by an Ivy League degree although it has little to do with the specific job. Always siding with management or always siding with the union. Making decisions based on a snapshot of reality that was taken 10 years ago. Being autocratic in decision making and collegial in execution. Blocking out your workday in hours. Ignoring the effects of fatigue. Letting the person who cares least control. Rewarding negative behavior. Pretending to consider the potential downside. Consulting on a decision that has already been made. Treating everyone exactly the same. Believing the initial reports. Thinking a decision has not been made. Underestimating the importance of attitude.
