I am going to have to re-read Edwin O'Connor's The Edge of Sadness. It has been years since I read it and yet scenes still return. If you are looking for a novel that is beautifully written and at times both hilarious and profound, this is for you. A marvelous book.
The world was a poorer place when Edwin O'Connor left us.
