An Odd Bias


  • "They're all alike."
  • "Give them an inch and they'll take a mile."
  • "They just look after their own kind."
  • "They expect and get special privileges."
  • "Everything has been handed to them."
  • "You can't trust them."
  • "They aren't normal."
  • "They didn't earn their way."
We would disdain anyone who would speak this way about a different racial, ethnic or religious group or about the poor or the middle class. Some, however, don't hesitate to speak that way about people who are wealthy.

Just a wild idea: Consider people as individuals.
