Great Moments in Teaching
This afternoon I suddenly shot back to the Sixties when I was taking the final exam in the Soviet Foreign Policy class at the University of Arizona. As I recall, one of Professor Toma's sadistic multiple choice questions was:
The French Communist Party was reorganized in:
(a) 1931
(b) 1932
(c) 1933
(d) 1934
(e) none of the above.
And that was just a sample of the goodies on that test.
If I reach the age of 95, I'll still remember the time I foolishly neglected to memorize the exact date of the reorganization of the French Communist Party.
Trick question. The correct answer is that, like all French governmental institutions, it was reorganized in each of those years.
ReplyDeleteLarry,
ReplyDeleteI think you may have nailed it.
