You can argue Napoleon was not a great person, ruler, friend, diplomat or even a general. But seeing as you cannot really understand history without knowing something about him, you cannot say he is somehow not a great man of history, arguably the last one.

ReplyDeleteI'm certainly not as big a fan of Napoleon as Andrew Roberts.
He was certainly a great man of history. I believe we've had quite a few since then.
