Simplifying Tasks
A great skill in life is the ability to simplify tasks.
It is a challenge since many of us possess a powerful tendency to complicate matters. We make things more difficult than need be. This tendency may not be as extreme as taking a piano on an ascent of the Alps but if you've ever caught yourself in full complication mode, you'll know that's not far from the mark.
This may sound like strange advice but when faced with a formidable challenge here's a way to get off to a good start: Ask yourself how a lazy person would solve the problem.
You may not choose that solution but it often reveals ways in which the job can be simplified.
