Cultural Offering gives his list. Matthew Lang has another. [Note the overlap.]
They caused me to think about my own "no regrets" purchases. A quick list:
- Kindle Fire. You get a lot for the price. I'm more than pleased.
- Amazon Prime. I buy a lot of books from local shops. Amazon has far more than books and its prime membership is a bargain.
- Ecco shoes. My training gigs require a lot of standing. Every pair of Ecco shoes I've owned has been ultra-comfortable. I'm also a Rockport fan but would give Ecco the edge for quality.
- Land's End dress shirts. A signal is sent every time I find myself looking for the Land's End shirts in my closet. Much higher quality than many of the designer labels.
- See's Chocolates. Forget Godiva. Go for the See's.
- Swiss Army knife. The classic (and inexpensive) pen knife, not the big honkers with spoons and surgical instruments. It is amazingly useful.
- PaperMate Profile ballpoint pens. Very smooth. I buy boxes of them.
- Cross pens. When you want something more upscale. Well-crafted, attractive, and nice to use.
