Lawyer Films

Althouse passes along the news that "Misconduct" - the legal thriller with Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins - has bombed.

Which doesn't surprise me because I don't recall hearing about the film and if I haven't heard of it then the movie doesn't exist. [Modern logic.]

The trailer indicates that "Misconduct" is the standard evil billionaire fare that is so loved by Hollywood studio millionaires and billionaires. [I will run to the theater on the day they make a film about an evil sociology professor, peace activist or environmentalist.]

Anyway, here is a question. Which "lawyer film" is your favorite? [Let's exclude "To Kill a Mockingbird" from the nominations.]

Note that it need not be the "best" from an artistic standpoint.  Just your favorite. I'll post my choice later.

  1. My favorite is probably "Witness for the Prosecution." "Judgment at Nuremberg" and "Young Mr. Lincoln" would also be on my short list of films primarily about lawyers. Trying to think of some more recent ones that were filmed in color that stuck with me; "A Few Good Men" might be a candidate.
