"What made it deep?"

"Well, it was sort of depressing and the main character didn't know how to cope with life. I felt terrible at the ending which, incidentally, resolved nothing and it left me with a really empty feeling. I wanted to go somewhere and sob. In my experience, that is always a signal, you know, that you've seen a film that is deep. That and not knowing just what the hell the film was about."
