Great question. Phoenix is one of those kick back and enjoy the weather places. I do recommend checking out an unusual but cutting edge spot in north Phoenix: the Musical Instrument Museum. It is extraordinary.
Old Town Scottsdale has interesting shops and art galleries and, if you are intrigued by the desert, the Desert Botanical Garden is an international attraction.
I'm sure I have overlooked a bundle of attractions.
