This doesn't mean that intuition is only so much hocus-pocus. What it means is your intuition is the product of experience and those lessons learned may be very deep indeed.
An experienced police officer is going to sense certain things about a group of people in a parked vehicle that many of the rest of us might not notice. When people say that some situation doesn't feel right, that conclusion is the product of a series of messages and interpretations. It is sometimes possible to pinpoint the basis for the feeling but regardless of whether or not it can be neatly identified, it should not be quickly dismissed.
