Divisions

There are many gradations and varieties of values and desires. Here are some examples:

Those who want different standards applied to their allies, friends and associates versus those who want one standard applied to all.

Those who desire the security of equal results versus those who favor the freedom of equal opportunity.

Those who rush to blame others for their poor performance versus those who hold themselves accountable for the foreseeable results of their actions.

Those who will do nothing unless something can be done for everyone versus those who will do something because a portion for some is all that can be done now.

Those who hold their nation to a utopian standard that no nation meets versus those who hold their nation to a reasonable standard in comparison with others.

Those who permit their mood to dictate or excuse their performance and those who strive for high performance regardless of their mood.

Those who favor remedy versus those who favor prevention.

Those who love the concept of humanity versus those who love individuals.

Those who wish to coerce people to become angels versus those who want people to have the choice either to rise or fall.

Those who regard the success of others as a diminishment of themselves versus those who see such success as a reason to celebrate achievement.
