I'm working on a workbook for a class, checking the case examples, considering the pacing, and identifying stuff to be put in the appendix.
There can be a fine line between a workshop that works and one that doesn't. I strive for simplicity and flow in the structure and ruthless practicality in the content. This stage of the process is where I go through the material and cut out items that fascinate me but may not be of interest or importance to the class members. I'm also looking for a level of enthusiasm about the message. If I'm not excited about the subject, I can't expect the audience to be excited. There must always be some items that will spur "I never thought of it that way" reactions.
Another test: They need to be able to walk out the door and put the information to immediate use.
There goes another paragraph!
