Just one supervisor or employee can:
- Boost or pull down the morale of the entire team.
- Affect the home lives of others for good or for ill.
- Encourage co-workers to leave or stay.
- Vividly demonstrate the acceptable level of performance.
- Serve as a front page declaration of the organization's ethics.
- Become a memory which, years from now, will cause people to smile or shudder.
And it doesn't take long for that one person to do any of the above.
