Michael, as much as the authors of this statement are correct, I have to say it makes me uncomfortable. Thomas Sowell once said "there are no such things as solutions: only tradeoffs." I know AI provides "solutions" to many deficiencies in business, governance, etc. I just dread what tradeoffs might be coming.
I have similar concerns about AI. The authors, however, make a strong case that if China uses AI heavily in the military realm, and it is doing so, then the US needs to use it to avoid a serious gap.
