- Pick a rental car firm that is far from the airport.
- Hang around the hotel cocktail lounge.
- Believe the airlines when they say the flight will only be delayed for an hour.
- Channel-surf for hours on the television set in your hotel room.
- Be abusive to airline and hotel personnel.
- Ignore the effects of jet-lag.
- Get stuck without reading material.
