Nothing like a little "Marche Slave" for Thursday night.

The Hammock Papers has a very brief video of a child and a dog.

Okey-Doke
Althouse explores the term.
I also thought it just meant "okay" but it has been a while since I've heard it used. It sounds like the sort of thing Rudy Vallee would say.

First Paragraph
Would you tour a museum naked? You may consider it if you visit the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Tasmania, Australia. MONA is an extremely innovative museum, increasing its financial viability each year and disturbing many conventions in the art world. While typical museums are aboveground, this one is underground. While typical museums are easy to access, this one is on an isolated island, in a working-class district. You don't access MONA by ascending massive staircases or passing between marble columns. You enter it via a tennis court.

To Haboob or Not to Haboob?
Is my car in there somewhere?
Althouse points to objections from Texans over the use of "haboob" to describe what most Texans (and Arizonans) have long called a "dust storm."
The local weather reporters in Phoenix use "haboob" but we should consider the unique pressures of their position.
Since a weather reporter in Phoenix needs something exotic to spice up what must be one of the most boring jobs in the world, their eager adoption of the term should be forgiven.
That's provided they properly pronounce "rodeo."
