First Paragraph

In 2008, Memorial Day weekend promised to deliver beautiful weather - not always the case in Vermont at that time of year. So my wife, Kim, and I decided to spend that Saturday shopping, running errands, and catching up on chores. Spring cleaning was our big goal for the weekend, starting with the garage.

  • His or her career goal: to become a college professor in history, political science/government, English, or sociology. Doing so will require at least a master's degree and probably a doctorate.
Given the very left-wing political slant in most universities as well as the cost of higher education, would you encourage pursuing that goal?
