The Importance of Demeanor

We've all seen it.

Person A is correct about a particular issue but presents arguments in a highly emotional manner which seems unreasonable, rude, and perhaps even unstable.

Person B is dead wrong about the same issue but presents points with a demeanor which is calm, courteous, and reasonable.

And as a result, Person B is more persuasive.

Demeanor matters. This does not mean that anger and passion are always inappropriate. It simply means that one's demeanor should match the moment and further, not hinder, the position.  The side which keeps its temper under control has a major advantage.
