I'm putting the flag out this morning.

Glad you posted this wonderful photo and put out your flag. Part of my family participated in an Independence Day Boat Parade on a lake in East Texas. Many decorated ski boats, pontoon boats, and jet skis lined up and followed the shoreline all around the lake waving to the many spectators on their piers and boathouses. The flotilla was proudly showing the red, white, and blue. Our pontoon boat even had an inflatable Uncle Sam and U.S. flags and bunting were everywhere.

Independence Day evening brought a stupendous 30-minute fireworks display over the lake. The lake was crowded with hundreds of people on hundreds of boats. We had prime viewing fueled with grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, and hotdogs. Proud to be a Texan American.
