In April of 2019 historian Niall Ferguson called for a NATO-like defense ("an attack on one is an attack on all") in order to preserve freedom of expression.
Liberals, moderates, and conservatives need such an alliance. Without it, the far-Left cancel-culture activists will destroy free speech.
