Here is a link to a related story about owners of a family bakery in Cleveland who armed themselves to protect their business.
Think of the businesses that were closed - and hurt - due to the pandemic. There is no reason why they should now be threatened with complete destruction due to roving bands of criminals.
Historian Richard Pipes put it quite well: "Property is an indispensable ingredient of both prosperity and freedom."
We need to protect it.
