This Fast Company article on taming the alpha executive is interesting.
(I've coached enough of them and the true alphas - the secure ones - are some of the easiest people to reach because they are very direct.)
An additional question though is what should be done in the company's culture to prevent the next alpha from reaching that point.
Would Mad Jack Churchill qualify as an alpha executive? The bagpipes are a nice touch.
