Ann Althouse sparked reader comments with her blog post on Senator John McCain being heckled during his speech at The New School.
I find the tendency to excuse the hecklers to be ridiculous, but then I'm an old fashioned guy who believes that speakers should be heard, not banned, and that people should behave courteously.
Period.
The people who wanted to hear the speech were deprived of that by others who could have easily expressed their own views by picketing outside.
