Chores

Some chores are tedious and others are exhilarating. Washing a car has never appealed to me - ask my family - whereas yard work can be a form of art that stimulates the imagination. The creativity that strikes when a bush is being clipped never visits while a hubcap is scrubbed.

It may be a "back to nature" sort of thing.

I like to whittle away at chores, zap them here and there, more so than in the past when large portions of my weekends could have used "The Song of the Volga Boatmen" as a soundtrack. The eclectic approach may remove some of the hassle. Perhaps it fosters a sense of progress.

I'll think more about this later. I have to change a lightbulb.
