It is difficult to use a map if you don't at least roughly know where you are and yet you can find organizations and individuals that start on a road and eventually run on it despite having no sense of where the road winds up and whether they'd like the destination.
Activity for activity's sake seems sufficient.
Unfortunately, activity differs from action.
