The Regular Way

An observation: The most significant strengths and the weaknesses of any organization are found in its regular way of doing business.They are not in a special program. They are not temporary. They are part of the real, not the declared, way of operating and can only be changed by first transforming what is regarded as truth.

Those that would benefit most from this lack the discernment and thoughtfulness to comprehend the reflection staring back from the mirror. Ethics, company mottoes, and mission statements are PR tools, not guiding forces. This is largely true at headquarters and 100% true at any level below regional vice president. One to three steps above the trenches is the stereotypical "hive of scum and villainy."
