Boring Stuff
[Photo by Maria Fernanda Gonzalez t Unsplash]
You know the boring stuff; routine items you just don't want to do; soul-killing routines that you step over as you rush to something - anything! - more interesting.
Unfortunately, the boring stuff is cagey. Its revenge is exacted by the equally boring strategy of not going away.
I repeat. The damned stuff does not go away. It lingers and lurks, fostering stress and, if unaddressed, grows larger and larger.
The beast is impossible to avoid for any lengthy period of time.
So what's the solution? We need to reserve time for B.S.; Boring Stuff.
Enter that period with the expectation that it will contain nothing of interest but keep one consolation: although the Boring Stuff itself is a drag, having completed it is one of life's undeniable joys.
So use Focus and Action to escort it to the door, then have a brief celebration.
Brief that is, because the Boring Stuff always returns.

First Paragraph
We all make mistakes, but starting the Third World War would have been a rather large one. To this day, I still maintain it was not entirely my fault. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Law Day
FutureLawyer notes that May 1 is Law Day.
I recall a conversation with a charming and well-educated executive who said that he really didn't care whether the U.S. Supreme Court followed the law just so it produced the outcomes that he favored.
That remains one of the most frightening remarks I've ever heard.
