10 Lessons Learned

What the world should have been learned from the Thirties and Forties:
  1. The differences between good people may seem great but they are far smaller than those between the good and the evil.
  2. Some problems cannot be resolved peacefully.
  3. You may be at war and not realize it.
  4. The innocent blame themselves while the perpetrators are shameless.
  5. Monsters do not negotiate. They buy time.
  6. Weakness is provocative.
  7. Isolationism is expensive and its bills are paid in blood.
  8. Happy endings are not inevitable.
  9. Alliances are necessary but troublesome.
  10. Victory requires leadership, commitment, and focus along with a serious grasp of reality..
