The Recovery
One thing that has been noticeable in my recent medical recovery process is the extent to which I have to plan things which before could simply be winged. Putting on a pair of socks is no longer the challenge it was on the day I left the hospital but it takes some attention and I still am using loafers instead of my usual laced shoes. Doing so gives a certain warm feeling of eluding the barriers. [A long-handled shoe horn is also a source of joy.]
Anyway, thanks for all of your good thoughts and prayers. There is still some pain but it is less and less and I no longer walk like Fred G. Sanford.
