All of us know this and yet it is often elusive.
The person who looks and sounds smart isn't always the smartest person in the room.
I've sat in many a meeting, quietly assessing the ideas and analysis and have often reached the conclusion that the boldest, loudest, and most eloquent people were bring surpassed by an otherwise neglected individual.
Those moments can be easy to miss unless you are looking for them. In order to catch them, you have to be there.
Really be there.
