Shameless Plug

A reminder that my Practical Ethics for Honest People class is online.

Remember, it is not Right versus Wrong that is difficult. The far greater challenge is Right versus Right.

I remember a Garrison Keillor story. He described how, when he asked his parents why as an older teenager, his parents made him attend Bible study, they told him, "So he'd know right from wrong." Keillor said to the audience: "Knowing wasn't the problem."

Steve,

Great story!

I recall a client asking me for advice on an ethical issue. I listened to her and replied, "You know what you should do." She bowed her head and said, "I know but I was hoping you'd tell me something different."

She did the right thing.
