When to Delve

"They should have checked it."
"It's their responsibility."
"How could we have known?"
"We wondered about it but they're the experts."

One of the challenges of life is knowing when to delve more deeply into a matter. 

First rule: Always do so when physical safety is at stake.

Second rule: Be aware of when there is a hint of a question and don't rush to dismiss it.

Third rule: Never rely on magical thinking as in "It will all work out somehow."
