Feminization of the Classroom?

Teacher Gary Garibaldi believes the feminization of the classroom is responsible for the poor academic performance of boys.

As a teacher, I take strong exception to most of this article -- except that I, too believe that our society is failing our boys. I just don't have the kind of classroom described in this article.

Girls don't have learning disabilities? Since when?

Teachers refuse to explain why assignments are important? Not me.

Teachers "always" find a reason to write an IEP on their young male victims? Only because SPED placement is a nasty process, not to be entered into lightly.

This article, in short, was full of conclusions, but almost entirely lacking in evidence, or even of connections drawn between effects and their perceived causes.
