Act and Wait


Knowing when to act and knowing when to wait are important parts of leadership. The impatience that so often accompanies drive can produce premature actions which in turn spark resistance. It's all, of course, a question of timing. The proposal that will be fought this week may be acclaimed in a month.

Such skills are more a product of instinct than of logic and, let's be frank, developed instincts are some of the most valuable skills in the world.
