Sure, you need to go see, schmooze, listen, connect, and take action but sometimes you need to sit quietly in a chair and read, think, and jot notes. As with all of the other activities, it can be delegated - sometimes - but there are moments when only you will do it as effectively as it deserves because the task requires your slant and your insight and you will gain as much perspective as you give.
