The Representative

"We could name Ed to the committee. I'd like a representative of the Hispanic community."

"Oh, I didn't know Ed had been elected to represent any community. Do communities have elections?"

"Well, he wasn't but I'd like someone from that community."

"He's also in his sixties so I suppose we have the senior community covered."

"And he's a veteran."

"And he's a parent."

"Doesn't he also have a slight limp?"

"That was just due to a sports injury.It's not permanent."

"And he likes jazz. Hey, we have all of those jazz-lovers covered! Do you know if he likes hip-hop?"

"I know what you people are doing. You are mocking me."

"Not at all. Why don't we just let Ed represent Ed?"
