10 Reasons for Overlooking

  1. We missed its importance because it is small.
  2. We assumed that nothing brilliant could emerge from anything as boring as the basics.
  3. We were in a rush to get somewhere else.
  4. We were too tired to notice.
  5. We attached a label and closed our minds.
  6. All of the best practices indicated that it wasn't worth the bother.
  7. It was not clear just who was responsible for that topic.
  8. We thought that was sort of beneath us.
  9. We looked at it but did not see its possibilities.
  10. No one had the courage to say what all of us silently believed.
