Time for "Freedom Studies"

Given the increasing evidence that we have a segment of our population that does not believe in freedom of speech, here are some films that should be shown and discussed in high school:

• "The Inner Circle"
• "The Lives of Others"
• "Schindler's List"
• "1984"
• "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich"
• "Shoah"
• "The Pianist"

More time needs to be spent on the study of freedom and its enemies.
