The Random Olympics

A future Random Olympian?

Every time an Olympics rolls around, I dust off my proposal for a Random Olympics.

In the Random Olympics, a random group of citizens from each country would be selected to compete in the events. It would be voluntary, of course, so no one would be drafted. Generous donations "From Viewers like You" would pay the tab but the result would be grandly egalitarian. Instead of watching well-toned athletes setting records, we'd see - among others - French cab drivers, British cooks, and American sociology professors wrestling, running, and jumping.

In short, TV at its finest.

Think about it. There's still room on the list for your name.
